Visual impairment due to the lack of glasses is the one of the most unaddressed problems today with an available low cost solution. A pair of eyeglasses has the power to change lives, increase productivity, increase earning potential, improve school learning and create safer roads and homes. By empowering individuals with eye glasses and eye health education, we believe that we can improve the quality of one’s life, their living standards and ultimately, unlock the economic potential of communities.
Vision Programs
Through a range of health and education programs, we bring access to primary eye care through our network of mobile eye clinics, distributing life changing eyeglasses and eye health education to create awareness.
By building distribution networks and infrastructure to the most remote areas that usually fall between cracks of larger organizations, we aim to bring much needed eye care to these communities.
Community Schools
Community school building is another goal as we believe that eye-care and education go hand in hand. Once our communities have the power to see, we want to uplift them further by enhancing their potential. Our schools are built with standards of eco-architecture and community values
Conscious Commerce
By promoting local commerce, we create ethical and sustainable opportunities for economic growth for our communities where appropriate to deepen our social impact and connect these remote communities with the world. We work with local collectives to create, market and sell unique products that are from the region to preserve local heritage and promote artisans. We understand that ethical commerce is at the heart of regenerating eco-systems and we aim to provide them with economic opportunities that are good for them and their communities.(link to Shop page
Eco-Journeys
We invest and provide economic development to the communities and recognise that as volunteers, we can bring a distribution of incomes through our travel footprint. By creating unique community based travel programs, separate from our clinic missions, we hope to encourage cross-cultural learning and inspiration to the communities we work in. Our eco-tourism journeys work only with local communities with the highest standards of sustainability and ethics. We value diversity in our selection of partners and we hire directly, offering hospitality and eco-tourism training. 100% of our profits go to the charity.
