In partnership with Global Clinic, we launched Sight to Sky Mobile Eye Clinic mission and take on Ladakh for the second year running. We brought primary eye care screening to the nomadic villages in Changthang, a high altitude plateau in the southeastern part of Ladakh. We stopped by a nomadic school and several nomadic campsites, where many of the nomads have never received any form of health screening before. The team saw a total of 800 patients, gave out 2000 eye drops, 1200 pairs of sunglasses and spectacles and identified 3 nomads for cataract surgery. At the end of the trip, some of the us also successfully climbed Stok Kangri, the highest mountain in the Stok range to raise funds and awareness for the cause. It was an epic journey filled with yaks, pashmina goats, magnificent blue lakes and snowcapped mountains.
